UNISCA (the United Nations International Student Conference of Amsterdam) is an international, interdisciplinary university course, awarded with 10 ECTS by the University of Amsterdam. The course is open to all academic students who are in their second year and above, from the Netherlands and abroad. The highlight of this course has always been a realistic simulation of a United Nations (UN) conference. This year’s central theme is ‘Global Crime’. This ‘dark side’ of the process of globalization concerns us all. War crimes, illegal drug and weapon trafficking, international terrorism and money laundering are just some of our topics. Guest speakers will enrich participants’ understanding of particular subjects. The UN conference provides participants the opportunity to put their acquired skills and theoretical knowledge into practice.
So diplomats of the future, sign up.. speak up!
